The EduS4EL 1st Intellectual Output aims at introducing the Project, providing an up-to-date overview of the topic of education for environmental literacy by focusing mainly on four points: (1) previous work, best practices and remaining gaps, (2) cognitive biases and communication barriers that hinder understanding of environmental problems and introducing ecological behaviours, (3) the crucial role played by the behavioral science, mainly the boosting approach (Critical Thinking and Mathematical Tools for Climate Change), and (4) how best to measure the effectiveness of the educational intervention.
